Information We Collect From You

We may collect personal information that can identify you, such as your name and email address, and other information that doesn’t identify you.  When you provide personal information through our website, the information is stored on a server located in the United Kingdom.

For an enquiry in relation to our Venue Styling Service for Weddings & Events, we may request the following information:

  • Contact information including email address.

  • Wedding / Event date and venue information.

  • The location or postcode of your Wedding / Event venue.

  • Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers.

The information provided on our website is done so without registration, allowing you to visit our site without telling us who you are. However, if you choose to complete an enquiry form you will be required to provide us with your Personal Data.  You can choose to withhold any Personal Data requested by us, please be aware that if you do it may not be possible for us to respond to your enquiry.

If you do choose to provide Personal Data, you will be required to give your positive consent at the time of providing your Personal Data for a representative of Bliss Events by Katie to contact you. 

Existing customers may be communicated with under the basis of legitimate interest. Customers who have in the past made contact with us either via our Website, via our Social Media Accounts or any of the websites we use for advertising including but not limited to: Hitched, Bridebook, Little White Books, County Wedding Magazines, County Brides, Add to Event, Eventsense, The Wedding Industry Awards.

We use the information that we collect in a variety of ways, we present content from our website in the most effective manner for you and your device in providing the Services and operating our business, including the following;

We may use the information to contact you to provide you with information on the services that you have requested. We may provide you with any news, promotions, information or updates.  We may also contact you to notify you of any changes.

2. Improvements

We may use the information to understand and analyse the usage trends and preferences of our visitors and users, to improve our products and services and to develop new products and services.

3. Communications

We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided. We may also contact you via our social media accounts for the same reason.

From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email or telephone. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.

If we are sourcing other suppliers for your wedding or event on your behalf

  • We will need to pass on details of the location, date, time and nature of the Event in order for them to complete their service or provide their products to you for the intended use. This would be either via email or message depending on our usual contact method with them.

  • Whilst we would remain the key point of contact for them, if there is a need to share your contact details with them we would advise you of this and the reasons for doing this. This could be regarding delivery of items if they would be to your home address for example. These instances would be very few but we would like to make you aware of this.

  • In the event that we have arranged a custom neon sign for you we would need to share the name and delivery address of the person who is the intended recipient of this item with the company we use to manufacture. This would be shared via the system / website we use to place the order with them which we trust to handle all data and personal information securely for both Bliss Events by Katie and you the customer.

 

How We Store Your Data

We are committed to ensuring that the Personal Data you provide is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We do not sell personal information collected by the website to any third party.

How Long Do We Keep Your Data?

GDPR does not specify a time limit for client’s details to be retained as there are a number of lawful regulations already in place.

For Clients that we have worked with (successfully completed Weddings or Events with) we would retain your information for a minimum period of 6 years in line with our accounting practices.

For those individuals who have made enquiries with us we would retain your details until the date of the Wedding or Event has passed that you originally enquired about – we do a data cleanse every 12 months on average.

What Are Your Rights?

You may request access to your personal data that we collect online and maintain by contacting us at any time without charge.  We will respond within one calendar month of the request date, unless complex in which case a further two months may be claimed.

You have the right to ask us not to process information for marketing purposes. Any marketing will cease immediately upon receipt of your request.

You have the right to have any your personal data held by us securely erased, restricted or rectified. We will respond without undue delay; and in any case within one calendar month, unless complex in which case a further two months may be claimed.

You may unsubscribe from a subscribed notification from a representative of Bliss Events by Katie at any time.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website.
